Senior Executive in High-Tech Developmental Firms (1/98 – 10/99)

·        Board of Director & Senior Executive, Novem Corporation.  Start-up business to develop environmentally sensitive cutting-edge technologies to manufacture energy products for the metals and material sciences sectors.  Responsible for establishing the firm and arranging for financing.

·        Chief Executive Officer, Antaeus Energy Corp. CEO for this Australian publicly-traded firm operating in the US to develop carbon-based feedstock materials via innovative technologies for the iron & steel industries. 

Started with the firm as the COO, responsible for operating the firm’s two plants and three corporate offices, as well as all sales and marketing for the firm’s products.  Lead strategic partnering efforts with Energy and Engineering firms.  Developed the firm’s operating manuals and procedures, and managed all legal matters of the firm. As CEO, set strategy, directed financing efforts, and worked with shareholders for the firm’s publicly traded stock.

Senior Operations Manager for Engineering and Environmental Consulting Firms  (10/82 - 12/98)

· National Sales Director & Managing Director for Strategic Environmental Management Practice, ENSR Corp. (2½ years).  Responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for firm’s Eastern US operations including the Caribbean and Central America.  Grew total opportunities in the region from $45 million to over $100 million per year.  Developed a national facility management practice for the firm that resulted in over $3 million of revenues in the first year.

·        Vice President, National Sales & Northeastern US Operations, ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) (6½ years).  Managed local and regional operations of six offices, with over 300 employees that generated $45 in annual revenues.  Grew local office by 100 percent in sales and profit over a three-year period. Served as ABB’s regional lobbyist and developed two new practice lines for the Railroad sector and in Environmental Management for Fortune 500 companies.

·        Operations Manager for both GHR Engineering (2 years) and NUS Corp (5 years).  Responsible for local profit centers for each firm.  Increased sales and profits of each profit center each year.  At GHR developed a new operation from scratch to over $1.5 million in annual revenues in first year.  At NUS, managed the firm’s New England operations and achieved the lowest turnover rates for the firm and highest client satisfaction scores.
